Another craft fair on its way!

So it’s been a while since we’ve updated.
A few life changing moments have happened on my end.
Nothing I can’t handle. 😉
Though I must say this Canada Post strike is very childish & unprofessional.
I know some people will disagree with me, but there are far too many unionized workers who take what they have for granted. So many businesses and regular people depend on the mail service, and now we’re left stranded with absolutely no service at all. Ridiculous! Ugh…

I really wanted to update because we’ll be attending our second craft fair this Saturday and would really love to see a bigger turn out this time. So for all of you Montrealers and out of town visitors, come check out this summer’s first edition of Journées des Bons Voisins on Saturday, June 18th 2011 from 11am-8pm on Saint-Viateur between Jeanne-Mance &  St-Urbain.

“Journées des bons voisins” are summer events organized by RuePublique (formerly called Car-Free Mile-End /Mile-End sans voitures), a community organization that promotes efforts towards livable streets and healthier public spaces.  For these events, the segment of St-Viateur Ouest from Jeanne-Mance to St-Urbain is transformed into a pedestrian zone closed to vehicular traffic.  The goal of these events is to enhance the most enjoyable aspects of the public space in our neighbourhood, without resorting to an over-blown festival or party atmosphere.” – Description courtesy of Old Skool Crafts

JnE will be one of the artisans attending the craft fair part, away from the outside madness lol.

11:00am – 6:00pm
105 St.Viateur West, corner St.Urbain

Basement of St. Michael’s Church

With over 40 artisans offering their lovely creations, you can’t go wrong by attending this event! There will be jewelry, handmade toys, pottery, handbags, glass-work, bath & beauty products, custom clothing, cupcakes, sandwiches & salads, kids craft area, face painting and much more! So much fun for the whole family. You can eat some great treats & pick up some cute gifts too!

Busy bees + a contest to win an Ipad 2!

Alright so we’re both busy creating as much as we can for the craft fair. We made 2 jewelry trees & screen-printed 2 t-shirts with our logos on them to be worn at the show on March 12th. We’re both so excited to show them off!

Everyone in Montreal & its close surroundings or out of towners who are in town is invited to come check it out! It’s also a fundraiser with part of the proceeds going to the Ride to Conquer Cancer. You can pick up some great handmade gifts for someone (or everyone!) you love (maybe someone’s birthday is coming up?). Why not come out to support your local artisans/craftspeople & help fund raise for a special cause? It’s a win-win situation! Woah! Long time no see!

Looks like we haven’t updated our blog in awhile. That’s what happens when you get too busy! Well we hope we can continue our blogging more consistently.

For now, we’d like to invite all Montrealers (and those visiting our fair city or live nearby) to come to a Spring Craft sale on March 12th where we will be selling our creations along with several other artisans.

Come join us for the first Spring Craft Sale to benefit the Ride to conquer cancer – Jewish General Hospital.

Twenty exhibitors displaying their creations. Beautiful and original including:

– Jewelry & accessories (crystal, Elizabethan, European)
– Stained glass
– Fimo art
– Country crafts
– Baked goodies
– Bookmarks and cards

As well as Pampered chef, Epicure and lots more.

A raffle will also be held with 100% of the sales going to the Ride to conquer cancer.

Doors open from 9am to 5pm in the Trianon 1 room.
